It is great that Jentafon was given the rights to sell Loopset LPS-6. With over 15 years of experience with the product I know that it is high quality.
I was born with a severe hearing defect, so I know what kind of challenges the hard of hearing face in their everyday life. The hearing impairment has to be taken into consideration in many important decisions starting from the choice of a profession. Hearing loss has also affected greatly the development of my career. In high school I was interested in IT so I decided I wanted to study engineering. At the time mobile phones became available and I noticed they were difficult to use with a hearing aid. I was bothered by the issue and maybe partly for that reason I got into the mobile communication branch.
After university I got a job at Nokia and met Mikko Haho, a fellow engineer who was developing an assistive device for the hard of hearing. I got the opportunity to join his project and I am proud to say that I participated already in the research and development of the first loopset version. The job was inspiring and rewarding. I remember visiting different fairs and other accessibility related events where we presented the product. How great it was to see the smile that spread up to the ears when a hearing-impaired person was able to use a mobile phone for the first time in their life.
When my employment at Nokia ended, it was time to think. The Nokia Bridge program encouraged former employees to start their own businesses, so it seemed like the best chance to employ oneself. We founded Jentafon and started negotiations with Nokia. Finally the co-operation started. It is great that Jentafon was given the rights to sell Loopset LPS-6. With over 15 years of experience with the product I know that it is high quality. I use the loopset daily for business calls and listening to podcasts. I put the loop around my neck in the morning at the same time with the hearing aid and don’t take it off till night. In the summer I ride a motorcycle and listen to music and the instructions of my GPS through the loopset.
My wife Jenni works as a secretary of Jentafon and takes care of the current affairs. We complete each other: Jenni is an organizer and I focus on running the business. Even though Jentafon is a small company, we have a long experience, vast network, high quality product and in-depth knowledge of the product and the branch. We think that the most important thing in business is good service and happy customers. We want the customers to get the help and support they need in order to use the product. We are proud and happy about the way our products make a difference in the everyday life of the hard of hearing. We have an interesting journey ahead of us. Welcome aboard!
Stay in the loop,
