Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions include the delivery and contract terms of the www.jentafon.com online store for consumer customers. The terms are valid from 12 March 2015.

Customer service

Our customer service provides service in Finnish and English. You can best reach us by e-mail at info@jentafon.com. We aim to respond to e-mail messages within four days. Normal telephone fees apply to calling our telephone number.

Placing an order

Products are ordered from the online store by moving them to your shopping cart and purchasing the content of the shopping cart at the online checkout. We reserve the right to reject an order without providing a reason. We may reject your order for example, if we suspect that the customer has placed several consecutive orders by mistake, or if we suspect credit card fraud or that the order is malicious. If we reject your order, no payment will be collected. If payment has been completed, it will be returned as soon as possible.

Prices and purchasing

The total order price and possible VAT will be given at the online store checkout. If you accept the price and pay using PayPal, an authorisation hold for the total price of the products in the cart will be made in the PayPal service. We will collect the amount of the authorisation hold in PayPal once your order is prepared for dispatch.

We do not charge VAT for deliveries outside of the European Union, but you may have to pay customs fees, local taxes or other fees on the delivery in accordance with legislation in the destination country. These fees must be paid in order to release your delivery from customs. If you have any questions about customs, please contact us by e-mail.

We also offer customers paying in euros the opportunity to pay in advance against an invoice. If you select a bank transfer as your method of payment in the online store, we will send an invoice to the e-mail address you have provided. We will send your order once we have confirmed the arrival of your payment in our account.

We reserve the right to reject an order if there is a clear error in pricing.

Order details and confirmation

Once we have received your order, we will send order details to the e-mail address you have provided. You must provide a delivery address, telephone number and an e-mail address in order for us to be able to dispatch your order. If you notice an error in the order details, please contact us immediately by e-mail at info@jentafon.com.

Once your order is ready for dispatch, you will receive confirmation of your order by e-mail. We will send information on the progress of your order and any possible problems to the e-mail you have provided.

Delivery method and fees

We will dispatch your order using a courier service to the address you have provided. We are unable to dispatch orders to PO Box addresses. You will see the delivery fees for your order once you have chosen a payment and delivery method from the options on the online store. You will receive information on your delivery by e-mail and will be able to track its progress using the courier service by following the instructions sent to you by e-mail.

Delivery period

We normally dispatch orders within three business days of order placement. The delivery will arrive within five days of dispatch. We are not responsible for delays caused by a force majeure or for any subsequent and indirect damages. Please note that deliveries outside of the European Union may be delayed by customs.

If for some exceptional reason we are unable to send an order within three business days, the authorisation hold made in PayPal will be reverted. Once we are ready to dispatch your order, we will make a new authorisation hold and collect the payment once the order is ready for delivery.

Guarantee and liability for defects

We issue a 12 month guarantee for our products. Please contact us by e-mail for information on guarantees. After the guarantee has expired, we are responsible for sold products in accordance with liability for defects as set out in Finnish legislation (Consumer Protection Act / Kuluttajansuojalaki 38/1978).

Terms of exchange and return

You have the right to cancel your order or exchange or return ordered products by giving notification within 14 days of reception of the order. The right to return or exchange a product only applies to products eligible for resale which are in their original packaging. You may try out the product without losing the right to cancel the order provided that you treat it with a normal level of care.

If you wish to exercise your right to exchange, return or cancel an order, please use the online cancellation form at www.jentafon.com/return-product/ or send us an e-mail to info@jentafon.com. We will contact you within a few days of your notification to agree on further procedures. If your delivery is returned to us but we have not received any cancellation notification from you, we will charge you for total delivery, return, forwarding and handling fees caused by the order (approximately EUR 25–45 or the equivalent sum in another currency).

Once we have received and inspected the returned product, we will send a new product in its place or return your total payment via the payment method you used to complete the payment.

Problems

When you receive a delivery, check its outer appearance for damage. Make note of any damage on the courier’s consignment note before you sign for the delivery as received. If you only notice damages or defects later on, please contact us by e-mail or by using the cancellation form.

If you encounter any other problems, please contact us by e-mail. We will do our best to solve the problem.

Disputes will primarily be resolved through agreement. If we are unable to come to a mutual understanding through negotiations, you have the right to take the dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board for resolution.

You can file a lawsuit against the Jentafon Ltd either in the District Court of Helsinki or in a Finnish district court with jurisdiction over the municipality in which you live. If you do not have residence in Finland, disputes will be resolved in the District Court of Helsinki.
